What is Skip Tracing?
Skip tracing is a professional investigative process used to locate individuals who cannot be found through conventional means. Using licensed access to investigative-grade databases, public records, and analytical methodology, we identify current addresses and contact information for defendants, tenants, debtors, heirs, and witnesses throughout New York State and nationwide.
How is your skip tracing different from an online people search or database report?
Most skip tracing services run a single database query and deliver whatever comes back. That is not how we work. Our investigative skip tracing combines multiple licensed data sources, cross-references results for accuracy, identifies inconsistencies, and applies law enforcement analytical methodology to confirm the most current and reliable address. A retired NYPD Lieutenant reviews every case. What you receive is a verified, structured written report, not a raw data dump. That difference matters when the result needs to hold up in a legal or court context.
How is skip tracing different from person locating?
Skip tracing is a digital investigation conducted through professional records research and proprietary databases. Person locating is a full field investigation that adds in-person surveillance, witness interviews, and physical confirmation of a subject's whereabouts. Skip tracing is available statewide and nationwide. Person locating is conducted in New York City and Long Island.
